Michael Atkins is an intellectual property lawyer. Known for providing strategic advice, he prosecutes applications for trademark and copyright registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. Copyright Office. Mike taught trademark law at the University of Washington School of Law for nine years, and has lectured on intellectual property issues in China, France, Mexico, Germany, and Spain, and throughout the United States. Mike is a Seattle native. He graduated from St. John’s University (Collegeville, Minn.) and the University of Minnesota Law School, before returning home. These days, he splits his time between Seattle and Madrid, Spain. When not working, he enjoys running, skiing, studying Spanish, and searching for the world’s best tacos al pastor.
