Jeff Jorgenson | Elemental Cremation & Burial

Jeff Jorgenson is a Seattle native, and owner and operator of Elemental Cremation & Burial. After many years of working in traditional funeral homes, Jeff concluded that most traditional funeral homes were too interested in maintaining outdated antiquated traditions and overly controlling decisions about the arrangements that families should control. Jeff could see that families were not being well served by traditional funeral homes, so Jeff founded Elemental Cremation & Burial to allow him to work collaboratively with families to create incredible celebrations and memories around a life lived well.
In earlier years, Jeff worked in fine dining restaurants and subsequently in the aviation industry having secured a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautics and a Master of Science in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. It was a wonderful twist in life that brought him to work in the cremation and burial profession both in the pre-arrangement area, as well as a licensed funeral director. This hybrid of technical and old world trade that unlatched the idea that end of life service needed to serve families with a new and different, "family first", approach. In addition, Jeff's graduate work on environmental impacts of greenhouse gasses and logistics made it clear that it was time to take this "family first" and green cremation and burial approaches and apply them to his love of end of life practices to make them greener and more approachable and affordable for families.
